What customisations can be made with VCDS?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Interested in what changes can be made via VCDS to a mk1 Octy. Obviously it's primary use seems to be diagnosis and clearing of faults, but I read on here of a lot of changes to configuration being made.

Is it mostly the mk2 that has the configurable options?

Cheers,

Martin

VCDS:

Alarm confirmation beeps

Remove/enable selective locking

Auto locks (anti-hijack) at 10mph

VDS Pro:

This is probably already activated (it was on my 2001 Elegance, so I imagine a newer L&K would have this feature)

Some other things you can do are:

Reset variable service indicator

Remove seatbelt chime

Activate / disable coming home lights (not sure if the L&K has this?)

Just checked on the windows on mine - (53 plate L&K) and it doesn't seem to have it. I kept the key pressed for a good 5 secs.

The interior lights do come on though when it's unlocked.emoticon-0148-yes.gif
