G60 + VR6 kit on the way :0)

Featured Replies

Well i decided to take you all up on your suggestions and opted for the G60/VR6 clutch conversion, all the parts have been ordered and car should be going in tues or weds next week.

Was tempted at the Valeo kit for £225 but after a bit of research it seems that the kit would be so borderline with a stage 1 map i.e torque, so didnt want to risk it.

Parts came to £244 and labour is gonna cost me £243, all in £487.

I will ofc report back how it all goes, for anyone else with a 4x4 that is thinking of doing this.

The garage that is doing this for me, is one i deliver to and get on well with them, but they have liekly never done this before, anything i ought to tell them about doing this conversion that they may not be aware of?

eg torque settings for the FW bolts, about not pumping the clutch pedal after etc etc

Hopefully get them to clean out my starter too whilst they are at it to get rid of that horrible squeal on startup :p

I've just had mine done! Much better feel. Pedal is lighter, more responsive, less travel. No noise at idle as some have reported. Loving it. I gave it to my trusted local garage to do. No instructions, just all the parts including the bolts and screws as found on the guide on this site.
