what is Skoda fabia BHP

Featured Replies

Hi . I have a skoda fabia 2001 1.4 16v comfort 5 door hatchback manual. I asked for two insuance quotes. One company said according to their data base the car was 100bhp the other company said it was 68BHP. How do i find the correct BHP please?

Edited by 2010

The 16v is 100BHP unless it's a Sport model or an Automatic.

The 68BHP is for the older 8v MPi engine.

And IIRC the Sport wasn't out in 2001 either, so as said, 100bhp (or if it's an auto, 75).

The power output will be on the data sticker (stuck to the boot floor or the inside cover of the service book), it'll be in KW, so you'll need to convert it to HP. The engine code will be AUA or AUB, I think that the higher output engine will have orange spark plug leads.
