Just outta intrest I iasked adrain flux for a quote £1700 they wanted because of my age it seems to insure any sort of car that's half decent you have to be over 25 with 7 years no claims !!!

your looking in the wrong place

im 22 and have had civic type r's and focus st and corrola tsport and not one was above £800 notes

i now have a 220bhp fabia insured for £500

How many years no claims you got ? It also depends on where you live asell. Who youn insured with mate can you suggest any gd ones ??

cheapest out there for young drivers is

Elephant

and Admiral

Same company! add your folks as Secondary drivers too, 2 secondary drivers with good historys. ie. over 40 with 20+ years experience and no claims will half your premium

Obviously you will be the main driver still so its legal

forgot to add my parents as additional drivers ill give that a go and n see what happens thanks for the info

I'm paying £1100 on a vrs at 21 with 2 years no claims, ****ty area post code too. Need to get hunting

Matt

With Directline I found adding my parents raised the costs (lowered it with Admiral, so not my parents as such), but they might have changed that.

As said though, Admiral are the cheapest we found for young folk (I'm 19). If you're a named driver atm, and are waiting for that to complete it's years course, I wouldn't bother as it only counts with Directline, and it can't be added to a normal NCB. Odd they don't tell you that when you take out the policy 'ey?

So if add my 91 year old father to my insurance my premium will go down? Interesting...

It's "GT pack " not "sport pack".
