Temperature Warning Light on Starting

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem, on first start up in the mornings I get the temperature warning light flash accompanied by a warning tone, however the coolant is at the correct level.

After driving for a while and then switching the engine off and restarting no warning light comes on.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is it?

Thanks in advance

i have this problem also, i think its the sensor in the coolant bottle.

tips i've seen here in the past say try scraping any corrosion off the sensor using a screwdriver or you can replace the bottle and that should solve the problem, i just live with mine for now as i know the levels are fine.

+1 Faulty coolant level sensor. Get the resevoir and fluid changed at your next service to sort the problem, otherwise keep an eye on the levels and live with the god awful annoying beep :giggle:
