Rediculous Insurance quotes

Featured Replies

If its not too rude to ask I was just wondering what the average price for insurance is people pay for their Superb's?

I have a 54 1.9TDi Comfort, my insurance is up for renewal and I am currently with Direct Line. last year they Quoted me £380 and that was with everything protected and £150 excess, this year with an extra years no claims, 15 years NCD with 9 of those protected the robbing bast~~ds have put it up to £514, I was shocked and rang them up to be told its due to the increase in personnal injury claims! (what a £130 pound per customer) and they weren't interested in moving on price, what worried me was when I searched the other Insurance companies on the net and set the excesses and details the same they were all within £40 pound either way of the Direct Line quote .

Only More Than quoted nearly the same as what I paid last year so needless to say for the second year running I will be moving Insurance companies, what a bloody palaver

I haven't got a new quote for my (2004 Comfort) MKI, but when I enquired a couple of months ago how much a brand new Superb Combi Elegance CR170 was it was within a few £'s of what I paid last year! (like for like quote - fully comp protected etc)

Recently I have moved our VRs Ltd Fabia away from Swift Cover to Direct Line, I am moving our 2.5TDi Superb away from Swift Cover to either Hastings Direct (cheapest) or Aviva (next cheapest) this weekend. I find that it is usually the second renewal where they jack up the premiums, hence we move around approx every two years. The difference can be gob smacking. We'll pay about £280 for the Superb this year.

My insurance premium fully comp is just under £200 (AWX Superb). I have just renewed it and that figure includes the increase (9%) over the same policy last year.

Re-applying online - which has saved me money in the past - put the figure at about £270 for the same insurance, same company but a new policy.

I'll probably insure it 3rd party next time as Mk1 Superbs are in banger territory now. For the repair cost and performance, the Superb is not dear to insure.

rotodiesel.

Just insured my Mk2 Estate 170TDi 4x4 - £424 - Fully Comp, 4 drivers, main driver 27, (other drivers 26, 61 and 63) 9 years NCB, 18,000 miles, Protected NCB and business cover. - Admiral - very happy.

My insurance is about £580 fully comp with £350 excess. Got 3 points on my license and im 27. Its a 2.5 TDi Comfort and ive got 8 years NCD. Just renewed it this month, and yes this was the cheapest price. I renewed for 3rd time with swiftcover because by the time I factored in legal cover and PCD that some other sites ommit on their quotes it was the same price anyway.

I got a qoute from Adrian Flux hoping to get some kind of good price for being a freedom meber on here.... £960 best price, err no thanks.

Interestingly when I looked at qoutes with out stating I had any points on my license (out of interest) it was £100 cheaper. It was going to cost even more if I DIDNT add my wife as a named driver. Also postcode plays a big factor. My Insurance went up £100 when I moved house. I must live in a bad postcode area now :D

Sooo, your all lucky barstuards having such cheap insurance :D

Our superb which remains on the driveway is insured with morethan...£350 fully comprehensive....why dont you use confused dot com for that cheaper quote? We went online and the same cover brought up morethan again !! out of 40 quotes...we called them again and they reduced it by a further 25 quid...so at least the car is insured......as for the other new greenline superb...my wife doesnt pay as she has aquired the car through motability.

My fury mat is parked in me attic, just renewed my tyres at the same cost as next years just last week, so don't get your monkey nuts tangled with your twizzlers and go straight to the bottom of the heap.

It's happened again...... i must stop eating Rowentree Randoms when am posting on here.
