VRS TESTING ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS LIGHT

Featured Replies

My car, skoda vrs 1.8 pertol,03 plate suddenly gave an orange light today. I read through the maual and it says it is the TESTING ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS warning.

I want to know if it is a serious fault? Is there something I can do to repair it myself?

How much would it roughly cost to get it repaired?

Thanks

You'll need it scanned for fault codes. If you're lucky you may have someone on here living near you with a fault scanner who'll help you out, or you can take it to a garage

normally you will find that one of the two o2 sensors have failed!! You will need to get this checked out with a diagnostic hand-held, which plugs in under the steering wheel. U can use most VW/Audi brands to get the fault code. cost is roughly £100 for the sensor without fitting. If it is that is causing the fault it will alter your fuel consumption.... But it is always better to get it checked out ASAP

VAG COM MAP you need to find someone to help read the codes before you start spending on parts
