Radio Code

Featured Replies

Hi,

Am i right in thinking that when I re-connect the battery (after being disconnected for a cam belt change and to unbung a plenum drain) the ecu will sort out the radio code after a few minutes?

I only ask as I have looked in my Skoda wallet for a radio code but can't see one. the only thing I have that could be it is a 4 digit code on a scratch off label on a bunch of "service" keys, I wonder if that is it.

Thanks

It will find it for you about 5 minutes after you switch it back on, it's dna'd to the car.

My DX sat nav (standard fit) always asks for the code if the battery has been disconnected and does not work until the code has been put in, fortunately I have my code so this is no problem

Same with me - I always have to input the code.

Mine always used to remember the code - that was until the last time the battery was disconnected and it somehow had 'forgot' the code, so I needed a trip to the dealer to retreive it (as there was nothing with the documents, keys etc)
