LED number plate lights?

Featured Replies

Saw this on a BMW the other morning and really liked the way it looked.

Anyone done this already, is there an LED replacement for the festoon bulb?

Thanks,

Martin

Not as easy as you would think

Replacing the bulb is easy. its getting one that works that isnt lol

i did this on my old car and to my dis-belief it failed an MOT.

i put them straight back in though after the resit because it does look good.

Why did they fail? As long as they produce a white light onto the number plate they are OK.

because the white light was apparently blue :dull:

same with the sidelights aswell

i went nuts with the mot guy so they gave me a resit for free

I stick to the 'go cheap' option (and keep blowing after 2-3months) until you find one with a good QC!
