I am looking to buying some detailing products for my octy. I am thinking:

- Poorboys Polish Carnuba Blue

- Poorboys EX Sealent

- Dodo Juice Wax Blue Velvet

(To be applied in that order....?)

I don't know much about this but have had these brands recommended to me.

Is this a good choice for a dark metallic grey car?

Should the Blue stuff just be for Blue cars?

Prob stupid questions but just want to be sure before I go spending my money.

Dunno about the above, but I've just started using Collinite 476s wax over Autoglym SRP, and I'm pretty pleased with the results. As well as on here, you might also want to post on a specialist forum like DetailingWorld.

Let us know how you get on, whatever products you decide on.

Poorboys Black Hole Glaze

Poorboys EX-P Sealer

Choice of wax after that

Fair one, well cheers for the advice and I will get myself some Black Hole Gaze. Then time for some elbow grease at the weekend.

For me is Clearkote RMG, YCW and two coats of their CM Wax! Very wet and oily, for winter repleace the CMW with Colly 845.

Bit late in the day now but I wouldn't be using Black Hole on a new car as it's more than likely not needed........think you can get some better products on the paintwork for Anthracite Grey........

I used it on mine from new and it really made the car shine!!

Its really easy to use and provides an excellent base for sealer and/or wax.

I once got told by a pro valeter that Dodo is rubbish quality, It's just really hyped up at the moment. Don't know how true that is but he won't touch the stuff. So might be worth staying away from that?
