Octavia opinions/cambelt question.

Hi,I have been thinking of buying a fabia diesel 1.9 (and returning to skoda ownership,I used to own a 92 favorit),but would like to ask those in the know about the diesel octavia.

Does it have the same engine in the SDI and TDI as the fabia ?,and would I be right in thinking these engines are the same as fitted to seat cordoba,ibiza golfs ,polo etc.

How difficult is it to change the cambelt and tensioner/pulley set on the octavia ?.

Is there anything that I should look out for when buying a used octavia diesel.

How difficult are they to DIY maintain ?.
