Windows 7/ wifi problem

Featured Replies

Just had a new computer and the internet works fine when wired into the new computer. However, when i try to use the wifi and connect the desktop pc via wireless it wont find the wifi i have.DOesnt even come up on the list.It picks others up like nextdoors sky wireless, just not mine.Im using a laptop with vista on and its fine wireless but the windows 7 pc wont do it fullstop. The router is an n rated belkin and the pc has a n rated card in it.

Its it simply the fact the router isnt compatible with windows 7?

ive done all that and it still refuses to show up on the pc! So i guess its down to pc world for a compatible one.Ive read some stories on forums that the belkins are just a piece of garbage! Thanks a lot for the effort mate, its appreciated.

sure no prob! Never used a belkin so can't comment on their performance ;)

You shouldn't need to change the channel, but yes, lots of reports on Belkin having shyte build quality in recent years.

Mixing brands on "N" spec is a big problem, despite the "standard", several makes dont like working with other "N" spec gear. (Netgear for starters).

It was picking up something like 10 different wireless internets, but not mine! Changed the channel and it bloody work so I'm happy!
