High fuel consumption on Fabia 2005

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I own a skoda fabia 2005, petrol 1.4, 16v 100bhp, manual transmission.

(Engine code - BBZ).

I think the fuel consumption in my car is too high.

Some more details: When the key is turned to "ON", the "EPC" and "Check engine" lights are on,

and when the engine starts, these lights turns off.

I've tried to diagnose the problem with a computer and got fault no. 01314: No communications to ECU.

I can hardly believe the ECU is not working at all...

any ideas? maybe it's the lambda sensor?

Thanks in advance.
