Hey guys,

Im in a little situation atm, my aim was to put new rubber on some octy wheels which are on its way soon but best I can find for around £50-60 inc fitting are Falken ZE912s, reviews are a bit mixed on them ranging from excellent wet and dry grip to does not give good feedback because sidewalls are too soft.

Originally I wanted to wait for the new KU39, or KU31's to come back in stock from Camskill or try out the "MARANGONI ZETA LINEA" but thats a 4-5 week wait apparently.. :dull:

Im using Toyo's at the front and bridgestones at the back but they seem to have more grip than my ability to push the car on public roads (wet or dry).

Ideally want new rims on the car for show at Castle Combe (yes, im a tart :D)

I'm currently using Falken ZE912 on my Fabia (albeit on 14'' alloys) and find they give decent response in the wet and dry round corners - done roughly 14,000 miles miles on them.

someone at a tyre house said go for the yoko prada's he said their like super glue (apparently)

save a bit more and go yoko or toyo got t1r's on my octy rims on my fabia vrs

I run the falken 912's as my normal road tyres i find they have a decent amount of grip and they last quite a long time and i drive quite fast, parad's are excellent tyres i use them for track use and running them at the mo through the dryer weather but there not cheap esp as i run 215/40/17.

P.S if your going combe i will see you there :)

I had the old Ze512's or something

Aweful tire, has put me off Falkens for life

i like

Goodyear Eagle F1's

Uniroyal Rainsport 2's

Avon ZZ3's

I have a ZE912 on my spare... ( Long story.. )

I will be getting a set of these for mine as my front tyres are shockingly bad :D

At £50 a corner ( camskill are an authorised stockist ) I think they are a good choice for

somebody like myself who drives quite sensibly 98% of the time. They have a lot of

good reviews all over the net and it's seems to be only the out and out performance

junkies that seem dis-satisfied with them.

Have GSD3s on the rear. They are okay but with a pair of Prestivo Sports on the front.

The moment the roads become cold or wet or both they can't cope with the power at all.

Road noise is considerable with these tyres too. The Good Years on the rear are much quieter.

The Prestivos seem to be a very hard compound and whilst they cope well in warm dry conditions

I'd go as far as saying they are dangerous in the wet with a torquey car.

The trouble is they are wearing very slowly and I'm afraid I just have to get a few more miles out

of them before I replace 4 perfectly legal tyres. Both pairs have at least 5mm tread. :(

£200 plus fitting etc is just not viable at the moment when they don't need replacing.

Thanks guys, I just went for the Falkens in the end, just want to stop faffing about, having issues with wheel courier services atm.. :dull: Spent 3 days contacting the wheel courier to get them to come today and they failed to comply to that. :swear:

Good choice! I've been running the 912's for a couple of years now and can't really fault them.

The only time I've found them to be a bit iffy is when I was driving too fast for the conditions (long story, but needed to get there quick) and felt the rear end start to go an a roundabout.

Overall, I'm impressed with them.
