Interesting...perhaps it's the difference between using ODIS and OBD11? Is ODIS changing something else?

I found out that on Obd11 you have to go to 4B module, switch to raw binary view(click bytes icon). Then find byte 11 and deselect bit 0. Important to reset headlights after - go to main module 4B main screen and select Basic Settings, run Headlights Basic Settings routine and then run Acknowledge Headlight Basic routine -that should do the job. Let me know if that worked for you. I don't have obd 11 and using Car Scanner, that's why I had to get some help. Hope it will go well!

You are correct, car can potentially blind incoming traffic in auto mode because of the central barrier and how late will recognize incoming cars. So this is not perfect solution but I believe the best we've got at the moment. And that is why I mentioned that I personally don't use auto mode on motorway unless it's quiet and not so many cars. I don't think Skoda would offer repair to millions of cars( European drivers have same problems) for free even if they would recognize problem on my appointment. Most likely they would do exactly the same thing that this guy did to help me sort it out. But I agree, that is potentially solution causing blinding drivers if used on busy motorway. As per GPS slowing car in 30mph zones as an example, I can't comment as my car hasn't got sign recognition so I never relied on it.

I will try to find out. I don't know him, he is a friend of someone I know and the topic came out during a chat, then my friend took me to see him. He did say its difficult to find if not using ODIS. I'll let you know once I will get in touch with him. Its pretty much disabling GPS to communicate with A5 camera. Then camera is relying on what it physically sees.

UPDATE - CASE SOLVED. Hi everyone, I'd like to update you guys on the case. I just came back from my Europe trip. While being in Poland I got in touch with a guy who was familiar with this issues and already cracked the case. Using ODIS he turned "predictive route data" off in 4B module and after reseting few things(I'm not familiar with ODIS) headlights on motorway are acting exactly as on A or B road... I'm still not going to use full beam on busy motorway but when driving on motorway with low traffic it's actually working well. I cancelled my appointment with Skoda because obviously my modification in system would cause them to charge me for diagnostic and knowing they approach it was not certain that I would get anywhere with this case. So there is a solution but ODIS is the best option, apparently its possible with VCDS but its more complicated. Apart from couple of people, no one really responded to my post which is a bit disappointing, but I just wanted you to know that there is a solution! Many thanks 👍

It would really help if I can get few more owner to provide their car details. I want to see whuch trims and years are affected. Heading to a Europe soon, hopefully I can see how Matrix is behaving at night while driving on wrong 😂 side of the road. Appointment and courtesy car booked, I will update once the diagnostic is done. The aim is to get it hopefully sorted and get TPI issued. Once I have my complain and TPI details from Executive Office I can share it so you guys can claim repair too😎

Is it very recent scan? Sometimes you will have some faults with new coding but it will be gone over the time. I had fault for few days when coded indicators to be dynamic all the time. Over the time it cleared itself. Most importantly everything is working well. Good job 😎👌

I have same issue on my Dq381 gearbox. Intermittent "gearbox in emergency mode" message, limp mode only 2,4,6 and R available and couple of times got stuck in 2 gear.. Once on German Autobahn🤦. Repaired by Skoda - replaced one of the clutch control modules, service of the dsg gearbox done. Cost me £1200 but they gave me 2 years warranty for "whatever happens" with the gearbox. Every dealership is different and some trying to rob us. Be persistent, expect answers with details and don't let them ignore you.... Good luck!

Are you changing to exact same baterry? If new one has the same parameters all you have to do is just put new serial number....You can use obd11, Car Scanner or other obd readers to code new baterry..

ACTION NEEDED!!! As I'm handing car to Skoda for diagnostic to invastigate Full LED Matrix glitch on UK motorway on 24th of August and I need your help. I am fighting for pernament software patch or fixed TPI Buletin Number so everyone else can get their car fixed. Can you please reply to me with make and model of your car if experiencing same issue with Matrix headlights and your location? This list will be handed to technicians in UK and Czech who are receiving data logs from my car and also Senior management in Skoda UK and Volkswagen Group UK to flag this as not individual issue but glitch affecting thousands of drivers.. They already received my appendix with technical risk assessment and corporate product liability. Once my car being fixed I will post case reference number, software versions and how to escalate this and get your car fixed for free!

Ok, step forward. My car is going for a diagnostic in relation to issue with Matrix Led. If they can't find the fault ( and they will not) it's going to be raised to Technical Team to review. And this is important step. What are they gonna do about it.
