Auxiliary Input in fabia vrs...?

Featured Replies

As above really, I've only put a deposit down for my VRS but I'm unsure wether It has an Aux. In where I can just get a mini jack lead and hook up my iphone to it for the music?

Sorry if this has been covered already, I did have a search but couldnt find any solid answer!

Cheeeers :)

Not as standard, no.

Can either get a new HU with it for about £80+, which is the best bet IMO as it makes the most of the standard speakers, which aren't too bad. Decent ones can give you full control over the songs/artist/albumn/playlist etc that you play via the radio itself.

Or for about £100+ get a think that plugs into the standard radio which gives you limited control over the iPod/iPhone.

HTH.

Hi Triggerfish thanks for the quick reply on that!

Thats great, could you reccomend any headunits? And whats this thing that plugs into the radio?

I've got the Connects2 setup - check out my setup Here. It is not too difficult to install - it uses the CD multichanger connection btw so you'll loose that if you have one...

Can't recommend any as I've not bought one for ages now, just keep changing them from car to car. I've got a Pioneer atm though, which I had in my Fabia beforehand which is ok, although a bigger display would be nice (and the blue doesn't match the green of Skodas dash lighting!). Try for something with a rear input though, as it's takes about 5 minutes to run the lead into the glovebox, then it's hidden completely and not on sight anywhere.

If you do go aftermarket, you'll need a small trim piece as the standard radio is a bit bigger than a standard DIN unit, but that's only about £2.50 from a dealers.

I've got one of these atm for an idea of price and stuff; http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/227619/pioneer_deh50ub.html - although I think you need another lead on top of that price, not sure either way though.

Does the connects2 work on the late '06 model vrs as it states on the websites it for 2000 - 2005 ?

And does it play music from iphone?

Sorry to sound thick, but stereos isn't one of my best subjects :S

So knobody has fitted this to an '06 fabia and played music from an iphone ?

Someone has surely :wonder:

The Connects2 will fit all Symphony units. As for the iphone............If it has a 3.5mm jack socket then yes you can use it.
