Pick up my new Silver Octy vRS 06 plate on Tuesday and want to treat it to a polish, seal and wax etc.. Ordering some new stuff over the weekend.

Can anyone make any recommendations on products that produce the best results for a metallic silver car??

I used the Zaino treatment on my car and its still looking awesome after 5 months.

Washing it now takes about 15 mins as the dirt just falls off and it looks as good as new. Just make sure you get all the marks out before using it as it does not mask any defects.

Not the first recommendation for High Def Wax, sounds like it may be worth a purchase and readily available at the weekend from my local Halfrauds...

I use Jeff Werkstat acrylic kit on silver. Its fantastic especially when fk1000 Is added as the last coat .

I've still got to try the Zaino on silver, but It brought my mates white 1series up lovely & that shouldn't disapoint either.

If you can wait a couple of days best place to get AG wax is off ebay Halfrauds is about 10- 15 quid more expensive

Super Resin polish gets my vote as well from Autoglym.

I also use Turtle Wax Ice and find this leaves a nice shiny wet look finish.

The true shine will come from the preparation, on silver motor's if it has been washed badly then swirling will be evident and will grey / yellow the lacquer robbing your car of it's clear finish. This can only be done with paintwork correction but if your happy with the finish and looking for something durable and long lasting with the winter months ahead then I would look into FK1000p, super cheap, large time, very durable and can also be used on wheels. Then if your feeling flush and want to add some bling to it, add some Zaino Z8 on top to get that shine really going.........
