removing headlamp

Featured Replies

it is possible to remove the headlamp unit itself to change bulbs or for puting in a xenon kit? are there screws which can be removed to allow the headlamp to be pulled out?

the octavia mkII headlamp can be removed in literally 30 secs as theres a mechanism for doing so, was wondering if the fabia is the same?

thanks

If you look at THIS THREAD it suggest not... Looks a complete rigmarole...

Xenon kits are pointless, as you have to remove them and re-fit the filament lamps every time you go for an MOT...

You can, I've used Haynes manuals to do minor jobs on all the vehicles I've owned and they say you can remove the headlamps. It looks like it will take some time doesn't just come out with one screw or clip and the near side is harder to do due to position of battery.

Iv had two mot's with mine fitted, no problems.

same, as long as they're reflecting properly it will be ok, (if the lining is correct no problems will be caused)
