2nd Hand Skoda Scouts

Featured Replies

Been looking for the last 2 weeks now for a ex demo / low mileage Scout but they are like rocking horse poo to get hold of , the only one i have seen is a 09 facelift but its a petrol & having to do a 58 mile round trip every other day to work and back i dont think the petrol would be economical enough for me.

Just wondered what the petrol Scout owners are getting (honestly) with the 160bhp petrol compared to the diesel.

same dealer i bought my 2.0 Fsi from

2 weeks? I've been looking for 12 months!

Already have one, thinking of getting a second.

Not only are there very few they have also increased massively in price.

Paid £14,000 for my Black Magic 08 pre-FL PD TDi Scout with 8K miles and xenons last August.

Not a cat in hells chance of finding one anywhere near that price. £16,000 minimum for the same car, same age as mine but with more miles - a year LATER!

Crazy.

I found that too. Ended up buying a new Scout for £18k - pretty much the same price as a year old one!

Likewise. Spent about 6 months looking for a reasonable deal 2nd hand, and eventually managed to get a new one for the same price as a year old one.

Here is the advert for my Scout I bought in August last year.

2008, 6,637 miles, xenons - ended up paying £14,000:

Identical car for sale today, no xenons and almost three times the mileage - up for £16,000.

Thats a 15% increase in a one year older, lower specced, higher mileage Scout.

Good if your selling, not so good if your buying.
