another problem with my vrs!

hi guys,just wondered if anyone can shine some light on this!!! my vrs deisel doesnt feel as poky as it should and every now and then the tickover feels lumpy.....any ideas???? thanx.....

Is it a CR or PD diesel?

its the pd 170 deisel............

What car did you have before? Maybe expecting too much from a pd engine?

loads of xr3i"s.....lol....there ace!!!!,its just the last few days the vrs has lost a bit of poke,and like i said,the tickover goes very lumpy now and then!! :dull:

When was it serviced last ? Has the air filter been changed recently ?

got some service history with it,up to 87000,will have to dig it out and have a look,cars got 113000 on it now...will check it out thanx.. :thumbup:

Has the DPF light come on? Sometimes the tick over will go up in revs as it is regenerating the DPF. The other thing to check would be the turbo pipes etc. to make sure none of them are split or popped off.

Change air filter, check oil and then fill up with some V Power Derv and take it for a good blast :giggle:

no lights are on,gonna try fuel and air filters,thanxs for the reply tho,will check pipes if no joy!!
