that wrap sends my eyes funny , the badges, hmmm, defo not the 2.0, the TSI I just voted ok, but the more I look, its a different style.... now if it was the same maybe...

Edited by lozparry

you should have kept the weave on the gear surround matching that of the ashtray cover, other than that it looks good.

not keen on the 2.0 or TSI badges

I'm not sure if I'll keep the 2.0 badge but def happy with the TSI one. Re the wrap, it was hard to make the "grain" match up so I rather have it differant than just slightly out if you know what I mean.

Next up is tinted headlamps and fogs!

 for the carbon, but with regards the badges, in this case less is more, de-badge it yes! but don't add extra's imho

The badges look ridiculous and hideous.

Personally the carbon look isn’t bad but not my taste, the badges no no no ... please remove them asap.

I voted no to both, the badges are awful, the wrap may have looked better if done same direction but as it stands a big NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!. Sorry

Badges look awful and should be removed immediately IMO.

Wrap looks good - I agree about matching the weave direction though

Steve

No to both the badges and the "Halfords" carbon wrap. Looks a bit chavvy. Not for me i'm afraid.

I hate the badges even more than I did last time I looked at this thread. Have you removed them yet? I can't understand how you ever thought it could be a good idea? What was the rationale behind it?

The one above the glove-box too

Surprised at just how hostle some are to badges, considering the numbers on here who want to bolt new bits onto old cars or put Audi badged alloys on etc.. Anyway, those badges must be quite small, will try and source them and see what that looks like. Still in two minds on the 2.0 badge.

which tend to also look out of place.......

A remap, suspension and brake upgrade is all that’s needed on a VRS imo. No obvious exterior change but performance, handling and braking vastly improved.

I for one can’t imagine what you were thinking with the badges... :giggle: it looks tacky as though you were bored one day and took a trip to Halfords.

Please don't tell me the seat covers are on all the time? :giggle:

Not a fan of the badges or the carbon wrap, reminds me of something a teenager would do with their first car to be honest.

The problem with the badges is that they aren't fitted as standard so its obvious to (most) people that you've added them yourself which, to me, creates the impression your trying a little too hard.

The fact that they don't match the font of the Octavia badge also makes them stand out - but in a bad way.

Shame you didn't take my advice in your previous post:

Still each to their own, if we all had the same taste in cars and accessories the world would be a very boring place!

To be fair, you're right on the Audi wheels on Skodas. They do look ridiculous - almost as bad as Bentley wheels.

The badges look awful. You'd expect to see them on a 10 year old chaved up car but not a brand new one.

:o just noticed the vRS badge above the glove box! now that is nasty................

Isn't it just

I think you need to remove these extraneous badges completely. It's on a par with those '16valve' and 'turbo' stickers people like to adorn their cars with.

I don't want to be 'orrid to the OP but seriously...........emoticon-0114-dull.gif

The carbon fibre wrap gets a emoticon-0149-no.gif as well i'm afraid.

But its your car and you are free to do what ever the hell you like to it, tasteful or otherwise.

Here's some inspiration for where you can stick more badges...

That car's awesome :)

Are those black strips LED running lights per chance??

I think a vRS badge on each door mirror would top it off nicely. I know someone who stuck Audi badges on the door mirrors of his TT emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

It also seems to be adopting the Russel Brand look by wearing a touch of eye liner emoticon-0144-nod.gif
