Hi all,

I am soon to be dad for the first time , and would like to know if there is a way of switching off or disabling the air bag on the passinger side of my car so that i can fit the car seat there when i take and can keep an eye on her instead of her facing backwards in the back!!

I think this was a dealer fit option when the car was new. not sure if it can be applied respectively. The only option might be via cag-com, but would you trust that 100%?

I just wondered if thee was some after market retro fit switch in the same style that renault have on clios etc where you have a key switch??

My mate and his misses do this on both of their mk4 Golfs.

I think your right i will get one of those mirrors as it will be loads cheaper and as madmike says the rear of the car is a lot safer!!
