Flexible service reset

Featured Replies

Please help me........

I have just had car serviced and flexible service counter reset using my mates VCDS since car was set to fixed service in KM

by mistake at last service......

Anyway all seemed to be good counter was reading ----- until service counter started to count at 9300 miles. I was expecting it to re schedule upwards but instead its counting down from 9300 in steps of 100 miles

is this normal? how / when does it start reading somewhere around the 18000 i was expecting?

Thanks

Ian

Have you got semi synthetic oil in not fully synthetic ,as it will revert to fixed service intervals if you haven't. Top up with fully too

You have put fully in so I cant explain why it doesn't work. Trust me it needs to be fully syth , engine monitors the oil

what factors are considered by the ECU when deciding the next service mileage?

1. Oil viscosity

2. Driving style

3. Journey distances

4. ??

we've tried ....it says it flexible. minimum 9000 and max 18600

it won't let us change it.
