parking sensors

Featured Replies

my 55 elegance 2.0 l estate has reverseing parking sensors but the problem is they only work when it is a hot day so you can imagine we don't get too many of them in the ne of england and it has to be hot like they have only come on 3 times this year and they work all day , the next day they won't it needs to be in the high 70's so unless i wait for global warming or does any one have any ideas would be grateful cheers will

It sounds like there could be a break in the wiring supplying power to the sensors somewhere, maybe behind the bumper rather than in the car due to it being dependant on ambient temperature. As the wires expand in the heat then contact is made and you have functioning sensors.

I'm not sure apart from that.
