Skoda Yeti TSI S 1.2

Featured Replies

Have had my Yeti TSI S for nearly a month and am more than happy with it - great engine and fantastic build quality. There is one thing though. If I have the headlights on and turn off the ignition or remove the key - all the outside lights go off - sidelights included. So when I open the door there is no headlights on reminder. Next morning I start the car in broad daylight and the headlights are back on - but sometimes overlooked until I notice the little green warning light in the speedo. The lights on reminder 'gong' only works with the sidelights. Is this normal or a fault. My old Fabia always went to sidelights if you took out the ignition key. Let me know if your Yeti S does the same.

Dont you have the auto setting for your headlights ?? Then you dont have to do anything just let the sensor turn them on or off depending on light conditions ?

Dont all yeti's have this as standard ?

No - some of us poorer owners don't have that luxury.......

From an SE point of view. If the headlight switch is On for headlights, then the headlights switch off when the ignition is turned off but come back on, as dipped beams, when the ignition is switched on again. The "gong" only sounds if the sidelights are on and the door is opened. The sidelights should stay on, when the key is removed, as parking lights.

Unfortunately you need the Auto Light option which SUK have not made available for the 'S' trim. What you describe sounds quite normal for the latest light control system to protect the battery from being drained down. Lights will come back on on restart as the system recognises the current position of the control switch (still on).

For parking lights you use the indicator selector.
