Brakes Advice..

Featured Replies

Have a Mk 1 Octavia on standard brake set up, looking to get updrated disks, grooved only not drilled and decent pads that wont wear too quickly.

Can anyone suggest any?

What i am really looking for is a grooved disc set up that will last as long as a standard setup before the need to replace.

Cheers Guys.

Brembo, Pagid, EBC, Tarox, ETC. Take your pick plenty too choose from, most of it comes down to personal preference and budget. Try a search been covered plenty of times with even more views as to what is best.

Hope I don't sound too rude but asking a brake question is like asking for advice on Tyres or Remaps, lots of opinions but as i've already said it's down to your own preferences reallyemoticon-0148-yes.gif

After doin a few track sessions and recently returning from the Nurburgring I can confirm standard pads are pretty shocking!

In theory the oe discs should be ok with better pads. I've now opted for EBC Yellowstuff fronts with redstuff on the back and braided hoses. Normal DOT4 fluid should be ok

Once they are fitted I'll give feedback
