Anyone with Vag-com in the northwest?

Featured Replies

As thread title says really, is there anyone in the northwest (am in warrington, so manchester/liverpool/cheshire isnt a huge distance for me to travel) that has the appropriate bits to give my 56 plate fabia vrs a scan to see why the engine check light has come on?

Your time would be exchanged for beer tokens :D

Thanks in advance!

Yep, there's a few of us around the place :)

Don't mind doing it, just not sure on free time this week. There is the monthly NW meet this Sun night at the Stretton Fox though (J10 M56) if you want to combine it?

That would be excellent! I was going to head up to the meet anyway :) What sort of time does it all usually kick off?

Thank you!!

No worries. They'll be people around from 7.30. Drive into the carpark and round to the far end; you'll see gravel and Skodas accumulating :)

Reckon I'll be there around 9ish. I'd imagine there might be more than one of us with VCDS too.

Hmm, rather randomly, the check engine light has turned itself off now. Will a fault code have been logged, or will it have forgotten it? (am used to hitting cars with hammers when something breaks, not plugging them into laptops! :-))

Least we know the answer to that one now! :)

FYI in future, if the CEL lights up, it'll have logged an error code. Even if the light then goes off again.

Drop me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the error log over.

Cheers,

Steve
