Not summit i would want fitted to my car, seeing as the ocy sits low there is a chance and it is a slim one that this could get caught and allow the contents of the sump to be drained without knowing about it till it's too late or even better still someone draining yr sump.

i can see the theory behind it but not IMO a good idea for a road car.

Do you have to hold the lever down to keep it draining? Could be annoying as it takes an hour or two to fully drain.

It's a nice idea, but it'll obviously create a restriction, reducing the drain rate.

You also can't choose where the head of the valve sits. If it sits upright or to the side then no problem. But if it faces down you will probably hit it on something, and rip a hole in the sump.

All fair points! I don't believe you have to hold it open though. I think I will give it a miss! Cheers guys
