Skoda Fabia

Featured Replies

I have Skoda Fabia, when I went to start the car the immobiliser light came on and I could not start the car. The engine turns over but refuses to fire properly. I have tried taking the battery out and putting the battery on charge.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for the advice. Just finding my way around the site...... As cute as a 45yr old with a car that is not working can be..lol

Sounds like the key has lost the immobiliser code, or similar. Not sure if the battery in the key plays a part here or not. Otherwise the key needs recoding to the car again.

Hi Vicky no idea but the lads on here likely to be able to help you they are usually brilliant and at the only Skoda meet I have been to too. Picked up some great tips. I suggest you put the message in the Fabia section too. Welcome to another female (from the looks of your name anyway).

Good luck

When I went to get in the car the doors were open. I don't know if someone has tried to steal the car. Or if it is a problem with electrics. Thanks for help.

Hi Juile

Thanks..I have not got a clue on cars. Google everything, can't seem to come up with a solution for this one. Yes I am a female...I like your quote...think I will put grumpy middle aged woman... with more wrinkles than Nora Battys tights. on mine..

The key battery plays no part in the immobiliser working. If you have another key, try that. Other possibilites include the pickup coil near the ignition lock.

Am 45 and proud of it too!! I have no idea on cars but the guys are adding to my knowledge. Hi Julie

Norah Batty could be mistaken for my twin...rollers in head...(when I remember to put my wig on) Wrinkly tights (when I remember my wooden leg) Maybe it's something to do with when you hit 45 you have this Norah...look.... Which I think looks fab.

That's good did they clean your car for you...(I normally wait until it rains...for mine).

No car for three days....was a pain That's it with the cars everything is electronic so if something goes you have to get the mecanic to fix it. With the older cars easier to fix.
