Finally fitted Uprated Bushes

Featured Replies

Took up the offer from a local mechanic that I could use his ramp. Wet this afternoon...got it all fitted. Would strongly advise access to a vice to get old soft ones off and torque wrench helps as well. One of the bolts was damn hard to get off so had to use compressed air tool.

Relatively straightforward other than that. Car now feels more responsive and more planted (if that makes any sense?).

Want to do rear ARB next. R32 one me thinks...

You'll need to 'modify' the spare wheel well with a lump hammer if you're going to fit an R32 rear ARB.

What modification is needed? is this the case with aftermarket ARB's for the R32 as well?

I did the Pikey mod on mine about 2-3 months ago , just haven't got around to fitting it yet

should really match the arbs on the 4x4, so run an r32 front and rear bar so they compliment each other.

Rear wheel well needs a slight dent into the underside front face (pointing towards the front of the car, which also dents the inner skin of the spare wheel well) to allow the 4x4 external bar to fit.

Its no real issue, just make sure any knocked bodywork is touched up if any metal is exposed.

Just dont knock it too much or you wont be able to get the spare wheel out/in.

Not really a job to do on the road outside my house then? Is there an 'IDIOTS' guide to doing both front and rear ARB. Also I have standard suspension will there be any point of doing it?
