Itunes alternative

Featured Replies

Right, I'm getting increasingly tired of the amount of unwanted junk that Itunes comes with. I know you can switch it off, but I want a nice solution that lets me keep my music collection, backup my 64Gb Touch, and will play the music on the PC. Reliably being able to use an Itunes server would help, but I don't need all this Genius and Ping rubbish. I'll even pay for something that works properly!

I tend to agree with you, iTunes is a lot more cluttered than it used to be.

How about using an earlier version of iTunes; they are all available from the Apple site. Not sure how far back you could go & still have compatibility with your Touch though.

CopyTrans Suite?

I find itunes does exactly that, keeps my music collection, backs up my touch, and plays music on my laptop using the remote app on the touch which is a great tool. Also have you tried Genius it really is ingenius, whatever your mood pick a track and Genius finds similar tracks and is much better than shuffle. And the real beauty of itunes is you can make it how you want it and a lot easier to use than say Sonys attempt ie Sonic Stage.

Another vote for CopyTrans Suite.......
