Climate Control SE and Elegance

Featured Replies

The wife asked which climate control setting(s) control the air fed to the back seat via the vents in the back of the centre console.

This is because her 88 year old mother often complains of being hot (when we are cold) and cold (when we are hot),

(Ideally it would be the passenger seat climate control so I don't have to suffer.) :smirk:

Can anybody enlighten me please?

No enlightenment (sorry), but my back seat passengers also keep wanting to open the windows because they claim its stuffy, whilst we're ok in the front. Of course, what you really need is a nice panoramic sunroof to get all the air you want :D but having got one - yes, it was a long wait - you can not have it open all the time :'(

Any advice on this topic eagerly awaited

If you have Climatronic, it's two zones. The right rear follows right front, and left rear follows left front.. No way to separate front and rear compartments.

One zone systems like the Climatic use the same temperature in the entire cabin..

It might be worth pressing the auto button on the climate control until the right hand light comes on as this turns the fan up for when there are more than 2 people in the car, but still works fully automatically.

Thanks for your replies.

So as long as mother in law sits behind my wife who's in the passenger seat, they can cook or chill together.

All I need now is a screen down the middle!

The car you need to solve your problem is London cab. Two seperate climate and only one front seat .

You can then also close the glass divider so that you don't have to listen to your mother in law rabbiting on. :giggle:

I used to have an LTI FX4 "London Cab".

58 bhp from 2.5 Litres non-turbo through a hydraulic torque converter gearbox and low 30s mpg. 70 mph just, down hill, and smoke on full throttle.

A real tank.

Would have been ideal for mother-in-law though.

I think the Yeti will be more fun though.
