On the way back from Oxford, the exhaust on my Mk.1 TDi snapped immediately behind the cat.

These days, most exhaust places don't even have a welder or anybody who can actually weld. I had a quick look on here and found that JCB had used Weston Garage to decat his car.

I have to say they were first rate. They are actually exhaust fabricators and the quality of their welding is extremely good. They fitted me in and did the work while I waited. It took about an hour and cost £50.

If anyone needs any custom exhaust work or even a repair, I would highly recommend them.

They are between Oxford and Bicester at the BP Family Farm Services (Northbound) so you can go and have a meal or something to eat while you wait.

they are a genuine bunch in there.they do allsorts of custom work,from equal length manifolds,v8 headers,downpipes.you name it.my car is going in with them to cure a rattleing issue from the rear end very soon.
