Good 4 wheel alignmen in Leicester

Featured Replies

Due to really uneven tyre wear across he rear tread I wan to get the gemetry checked on my car.

Does anyone know of a decent garage in Leicester that can do the work?

thanks

Leicester 4-wheel alignment centre (aka Tyres and Exhausts Galore), Mayfield Road.

About £29 for a check and £15 extra for adjustment.

They have a couple of Jim Bean Visualiser laser aligners.

Try and pick a quiet time to go (not the weekend) or you'll have a long wait.

thanks for that - do you know if they can do camber adjustment as well as tracking?

a

Its a full four-wheel alignment. So if the camber can be adjusted on the particular make/model then, yes, they will adjust it if necessary.

Try Jeff Fowkes wheels in Ashby.

God no!

We used them a couple of times to set up Subarus after I'd done suspension work (we didn't have our own kit - not optical kit anyway). They were a bit of joke. They've got the kit but don't know how to use it properly - expensive too, even at trade rates.

When I used the guys at Jeff Fowkes Wheels they knew exactly what they were doing, ive sent loads of people there and never heard of any problems! And as for the prices .... you can either keep paying kwik fits prices for tracking, or just pay once and get it done right, but im one who dont care how much i spend on my car so thats my attitude. Like i say, ive sent loads of people there and heard loads of good things about them, i had to go there because they were the only place i trusted!

Are you in the motor trade mate? Jeff does have a bit of a 'reputation' locally so a lot of people who are in the know steer clear. There are better and cheaper people to use - not Kwik Fit of course! Midland VW have got a Supertracker STR40 and know how to use it. Or you could go to Listers (they have a Beisbarth). Leicester Four-Wheel-Alignment are good though, and prices are reasonable. Much used by people setting up cars for track.

Went to T+E Galore. Except for the appauling name they seemed to do a professional job. Set the wheels to the correct alingment (they were quite a long way out). Will just have to see how the tyres wear for the proof...

For what its worth I've used Britannia tyres before. £17 for a check and 1 adjustment included in that price, £17 for every other adjustment on top. They have a proper computer based laser system that you can read clearly for yourself, along with print out.
