Octavia II Vrs LED Sidelights...makes warning light come on!

Featured Replies

Bought a set of LED sidelights, worked fine in my old car, Suzuki Swift Sport. Placed them in my Octy II Vrs and they work for about 5 seconds before going out and the 'lamp out' warning light comes on in the Dash. Most annoying! Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks!!!

I thought the best way around this was to code it out using VCDS.

Cool, thanks...all ideas are great. Think for ease I will just buy some of the non error leds and stick my old ones back on ebay!

You need to get something like this, they are 2 led CanBus

Cool, all done and bought. Hopefully they come soon, I really hate the yellow from the sidelight, especially against the silver of the car.

Cheers Mike, I got a free set of filament bulbs with a set of headlight bulbs so worst comes to the worst I'll just stick them in. I'll give my old leds a try in the interior though!

Just tried to put the leds in the interior light, won't fit, they are 5mm too long. Serves me right for wanting ones with 9 leds. Back on ebay it is for them then.

I bought some CANbus LED's off an ebay seller. They have been fine for the last 6 months - no errors. I'll try to figure out who the seller was and post on here. They were cheap and they appear to be decent quality.

New lamps fitted and look great. It helps that they only have to fill that small enclosure, unlike my suzuki that had to light up the whole headlamp reflector, which made them look...****e.

Have had canbus led's in my sidelights for about 2 months now and no problems!

BIG Nick :)
