vrs seat bolsters

Featured Replies

as topic suggests, the side bolsters are starting to sag quite badly on the drivers seat of my beloved octy, can they be replaced seperatly or is the base foam 1 complete lump? i've changed the sides on the recaros in my sierra cosworth easy enough but never had an octavia seat apart.

You can buy a foam base from the dealers for £75 i bought 2 last month and did both my front seats.

There is a guide on here to do it also, basically the same as the Recaro's though.

I did a how to on this a while back.

the foam normally splits on them, i took my seatcover off on that side(dont need to take it all off) then glued the foam back together and taped it up with gaffa tape its been mint of 3 years now .

and if you interested in buying it a replaced the foam with a new one from the dealers at £75 :giggle:

foam also compresses and deteriorates over time, hence why changing the drivers if it is worn is not a bad idea, glue wouldnt have fixed mine, and i like to repair things properly anyway.

The base is 1 entire piece unlike recaro seats, so the 2 bolsters and seat base are part of the same piece for £75.
