which one?

Featured Replies

Looking at getting a vag com but not to sure which one to get and where to get it from. I have a octavia 2.0 TDI 06 reg.

You can use either Microcan, or if you intend on working on older cars hex+can.

You could try Vtech on 0208 498 1288 whom I've dealt with, or indeed any others on the official distributors list http://www.ross-tech.com/distributors.html

for the fabia you'll need hex+can. These are £275 ish these days.

how much did not realise they where this much do the ones on ebay for £10 do the same job or am i better off saving my money

Ebay job is basically a cheap far east knock off and doesn't contain the dongle that licences the software, so you can only use the shareware version which has only basic functionality (reading and clearing fault codes).

I would avoid these like the plague as they're not supported by Ross Tech and may stop working with software upgrades, the best thing is to get an official cable from one of the UK approved distributors (See Ross Tech website).
