Heated windscreen no longer available?

Featured Replies

While we were picking up our Yeti on Saturday (which so far has been everything we hoped it would be), our dealer mentioned that we were lucky to have got the heated front windscreen as (all together now) there was a problem with the supplier not being able to meet demand, so much so that he believed that Skoda were no longer accepting orders for this particular option. Playing with the online configuration tool this morning, it would appear that the heated windscreen has indeed disappeared from the options list. It might be worthwhile for people who have ordered this particular extra and are facing long waits for their Yeti to investigate whether deleting this option would speed things up a bit.

Hope this is useful information,

Phibes

It's only a short term issue, which will be resolved in 2-3 weeks.

It also only affects diesel models.

If you want to order a diesel Yeti with this option you still can and it shouldn't make any difference to your order lenght as the car wouldn't be built in 2-3 weeks anyway.

Congratulations: You've encountered the latest example of Skoda's "Back to Basics" campaign. The next problem will be that they have run out of rear window lifters and so the rear windows will be fixed in position.

Gosh. How on earth does Skoda pick their suppliers to get into this pickle again?! First the sunroof, then the alloy wheels and now this! By now the supply and demand (and huge success of the Yeti) should not be a surprise to them and they should be able to work these levels of stock required out before comitting to a new option surely?! Beggars belief.

The Yeti really has surpassed expections. The factory in Kvasiny just can't keep up with the orders and the suppliers can't keep up with the demand as it is so much higher than originally planned.

Its just Skodas plan to sustain the exclusivity of the brand lol
