Front Electric Window Switches

Featured Replies

Hi guys,this morning I discovered my Electric Window Switches are not working as they should. The front passenger window works fine from the switch on its door but can not be operated from the driver door switch and also the front driver window works but does not auto wind up or down now the switch has to be held up or down until it opens or closes.

Can you guys tell me what the problem may be?

Also I can see any screws or ways to get at the switches on the driver door panels?

Thanks

Can't help with the electrical problems, but humsk on this site did an excellent explaination on how to remove the door cards;

Search for humsk in the search box & it is under "How to remove Octy II door cards / speaker sizes"

It happened to me once on de new 2010 model, after using vagcom. The drivers window did not roll up/down on one toutch. Not even with control would work.

Turned battery off for a minute. Then after hooking battery back on went for a drive and a few km later everything was back to normal. :giggle:

You should be able to reset the auto up/down function by firstly putting the window fully up, then holding the switch in the first up position (i.e. not fully pressed in as for auto-up) for a couple of seconds, until you hear a click.
