Looking to buy, perhaps a VRS

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I'm new here. I'm looking to replace my aging Volvo V40.

I've been looking at Octavias. Anyone got any advice for me, issues and what to look out for.

Thought I'd like an estate with decent spec, and a diesel engine (140)......but I quite fancy a VRS...I thought fuel economy would be poor......not so, tax would be more..... not really, ah insurance, that's got to be a killer...well this is what I found

So what's the catch, what's the equipment level like compared to a L & K or Elegance....I like toys.

The toys depend on the options added to the car and the age of the car (some options became standard later on).

When new, the VRs was lower specced than the Elegance and L&K (depending on age), but many people (esp. on this site) added extras, which will have very little effect on the used car price

Do the VRS thing....you know you want to really. B)
