Big thanks to Nick and the lads at R Tech yesterday.

Featured Replies

After two months of problems with the new vrs I finally bit the bullet and got it in at R Tech yesterday to find the cause of the overboost issue. With a full rolling road diagnostics session they found that the map had been messed with and all the settings had been adjusted to the maximum along with a faulty N75 valve.

Also it was discovered that the map was actually a REVO remap not a Motech map, which was some relief.

With some software mods they made the car safe to use without the risk of blowing the turbo.

Even with the loss of boost at higher rpm, it still made a solid flywheel 210bhp and 236lb ft, which was reduced to 198bhp and 220 lb ft by lowering the boost for now. Once I've got a new N75 and a decent downpipe I'm gonna take it back and get them to reset everything properly.

Basically I would recommend them to anyone as their knowledge and customer service is excellent.

Cheers lads!

Top guys, can't remember if it was me who recommended them? But they are well worth a trip. When I had mine remapped by them they also discovered a faulty N75, made a noticeable difference when I changed it.

I've just ordered the n75 this morning along with a new speed sensor and brake switch.

I've gone with their recommendation and got the n75f valve, currently has the j fitted and just surges and bounces like crazy.

Really good bunch of lads, the wifes golf is going there for a stg 1 map for Christmas lol

very clever bloke nick is and has produced some of the best maps around

not only is he good but his customer service is amazing and 90% of other tuners should learn from him
