After The Flood....

Featured Replies

Many thanks for thehandy guide on here, my Superb had been stood at an angle for 3 months & when I came to it the passenger side had about 3" of water in it... Since drying it out the central locking & electric mirro have stopped working on the passenger door, boot light wont work and yesterday the radio / mpg diplay between the clocks has died. Is it time to call ina proffesional or can these things be DIY'd back to life ?

Regards

The customer control unit CPU, I think thats what it 's called. can be found under the carpet passenger seat side, when wet the contacts corrode and the operation of the devices you have decribed. I had the same problem with my Superb earlier in the year. Skoda dealer rectified the problem for around £130.

In my case the the water ingress was through the pollon filter, The drain lines get blocked and overflow into the car. My car is a 2003.

This is a design fault which VW has a Mod for the pollon filter housing but not Skoda. Best of luck, hope info helps.
