Just put a deposit down on a vrs, 06 plate with 70k miles. cambelt hasnt been done yet. When is the change suposed to be done. Recon it would last 5k miles while i build some money back up?

As above, belt is due every 60k or 4 years so yours is well overdue. Some say that other markets specify longer intervals, and that the intervals are unduly short just to line the dealers pockets (sounds like a line off Top Gear ).

But if it does snap it will cost you thousands to put right, so as Clint might say...

Letting your cambelt go over it's recommended replacement period is like living on borrowed time. If it snaps, it will be VERY costly! :no:
