APR vs Revo 1.8t Software

Featured Replies

I'm currently running APR stage 2 software on my car but now have the chance to get it re-flashed to Revo.

It would be nice to hear from people running Revo software as to how there car feels to drive regarding boost, performance, mpg etc.

One reason i'm tempted is i have a check sum error and this will curse that once it is re-flashed.

I'm on a Revo stage one and it's smooth and grunty thoughout the rev range. Once I get my FMIC fitted I'll be moving onto stage two Revo.

I thought Revo was just stolen and re-badged APR software anyway......... :x

I've only ever tried APR or Shark Performance Stage 1's, so can't really comment. Have you considered Shark?

It's going to be free due to Awesome cutting ties with APR so don't want to pay again.

I'm happy with APR but engine light keeps coming on due to 'Check Sum Error' and i don't have a way of getting rid of this now.

Getting reflashed to Revo should/will cure the chuck sum.

boooooooo jay you traitor lol :p

Theirs also some laptop software you can use like APR V-Tune.

revo have a new stage 2 software coming out soon thats meant to be like the vvt attack software might be worth a dabble

so the stage 2 theyd give on this free hand out is whats been about for ages then? or is it just stage 1 on this amnesty thing? emoticon-0106-crying.gif what will become of the apr agents i wonder emoticon-0106-crying.gif

I suspect it is a case of Awesome no longer being able / authorised to reflash your ECU if they have too, rather than new software coming out. In which case you would have to pay again for the Revo software.

I will watch this thread with interest as have similar mods...

I have REVO stage 2 and it is certainly not just REVO stage 1

I have useable power through the rev range, although not chasing BHP had JKM RR'd with 225BHP and 261lbs Torque.

I had it customed to the mods I got. Very happy.

Feels very agressive and holding 18PSI of boost so not reaching the limit

cool. i ment was it just revo 1 that awesome are giving for free on this apr amnisty thing:wonder: cheers tho mate, sounds good figures

Thats good to see, you have similar mods to me and I'll be getting my Revo stage 2 at JKM in the not to distant future! Fingers crossed before the 13th of November. Don't suppose you have the power/torque graph you can post up or email?
