SD card Help

Featured Replies

Just had the new company car Octavia SE 1.6tdi delivered today with the Bolaro media system. Noticed it had a SD card slot, found my old SD card and put some MP3 files on, all I get is a error mess on screen saying error with SD card.

What type of card do I need and do I need to format the card in any specific way, do I need to stor the music files in any specific way.

Any help appriciated.

SD card must be formatted as FAT32, and the file extensions must be .mp3

Hi many thanks tried that but I still get the same error, I am going to try a diff MP3 file to see if that is the problem, I just wondered if it was my card as its old.

probably your card, i bought a cheap brand new 4gb card loaded it off my laptop n it worked 1st time.

The cards do "wear out".

I had to throw away some ancient 512MB cards, and a 1 GB card earlier this year because they were becoming erratic; ie, would load and play fine in my PC, would would throw error messages in two different SD card units; one ICE player and one camera.

SD card must be formatted as FAT32, and the file extensions must be .mp3

You can also use unprotected wma files
