Key Fob

Featured Replies

My key fob (central locking) stopped working when i got to work yesturday. i put it down to the battery beeing flat and thought nothing of it.

I tried the spare key this morning and it worked fine, so i thought id change the batterys between the 2 to make sure its that. And its not. the original key still doesnt work.

A little red light comes on when i press the buttons but they arent doing anything.

any one got any ideas what the issue might be?

The remote and the car can get out of sync...I'm sure that it's mentioned either in the manual or one of the supplements, along with how to fix it (from memory you stand by the car and hold down one of the buttons).

EDIT: Not very helpful, but the manual says:

This means it is necessary to synchronise the code as follows:

• Press any button on the remote control.

• Pressing of the button means that the door will unlock with the key within 1

minute.

What I don't get is whether you hold down that button for one minute, or press it repeatedly until it opens...
