vRS Wheel Nuts, size?

Featured Replies

Afternoon, all..

After some fairly urgent information on the Octy's wheel nut size/thread. Mine are in horrendous condition and I'm going to replace the lot, however, when buying 16 it seems to get quite expensive. Only found a couple of adverts on eBay relating specifically to the Octavia, but are these the same for the vRS?

Anyone know what size they are or whether all other VAG nuts will fit? I had a search but couldn't find much of worth..

Cheers,

Keith.

M14x1.5x27

Part No is: 8D0 601 139 D

Seat Ibiza 2003-2005 wheel nuts are the same (inc part No) for both steel and Alu wheels

All Octy wheel nuts are same part No (above) for steel and Alu wheels also.

Edit: Looks like a lot of VW wheel bolts are .5mm longer for some reason?

Yeah the wheel bolts are M14x1.5, and don't forget they have a spherical head (not a tapered head).

That's excellent, chaps.

Many thanks for confirming that I bought the right ones. I actually took one of the nuts out and took a tape measure to them, followed by a swift purchase on evilBay.

These are the ones I settled for, which appear to be spot on.

I've never came across such tight wheel nuts in my life. They're totally chewed up, but thankfully, the threads are all fine. Will be changing them all over tonight.

Thanks again. :)

Your wheel bolts hold your wheels on (common sense)

Don't skimp and go ebay route get them off Dealer unless you want tour wheels to fall off :giggle:
