Wheel weight - neptune

Featured Replies

still battling with my thoughts on replacement alloys

thinking of going for lightweight wheels now

can anyone tell me the weight of the 18" neptune alloys

preferably without tyres

then i will know my target weight.

If your selling your Neptunes, keep me in mind.

Think theres another thread on here with the wheel weights in it. If memory serves it was quoted at 28lbs.

Think the other thread was to do with buckled wheels on the LE Vrs.

Pretty sure they were around 12-13Kg. That was the weight of the pre-FL vRS 18s anyway, Zeniths.

By way of comparison by 8x18 Turinis are 9Kg each.

I can't find the source, but I made a note some time back that the 18" zenith was about 12kg. I would expect the neptune to be about the same.

I looked at some neuspeed rs5's last year, too expensive so i didn't get them in the end but they were 17.8lbs each for 18s so about 8kg. Makes the factory wheel look very heavy but they are designed to be strong and cheap to mass produce..

By way of comparison by 8x18 Turinis are 9Kg each.

Are these on the car yet Steve? Any pics?!

Yes, they're on. Did a full detail last week, so I need to do a write-up for that and put some pics up :)

Will try to do it this week

Cheers,

Steve
