Pretty much so, always going to be a tough crowd on DW but for the average joe I guess it's an interesting article............ :yes:

I saw the whole clip on a program at the weekend, "Something for the weekend".

Poor guy, sounds like the programme stitched him up a bit.

He remembers when it was being filmed saying something along the lines of....

'once every six I spend about 10 hours cleaning the car which is inside, outside, engine bay etc etc and weekly about an hour or two just on the normal wash'

This was then edited to...

'I spend 10 hours cleaning my car'

I'm sure if he owned a Black car he would do it twice a week! :p

P.S. did anyone notice that he used a sponge and only 1 bucket to wash the car.

LOL, glad SWMBO missed this one - I for one certainly won't be mentioning it! :p

I wonder if it's on iPlayer; might have a quick watch, see where's going wrong and can improve his technique

Yep, watched it earlier - thanks. He seemed a bit amateurish to me

Granted his technique requires some improvements as not onlyw as he using one bucket but also no grit guard evident but he was using a Zymol Sponge to be fair................. :|

Probably the reason they "could only find 1 other person who spent that much time cleaning his car" is because they didnt WANT to find lots of people because then their "freak" would no longer be a freak. Considering the guy apparently did it as a favour to a member of the drew i think he did ok.
