Best Dashboard Colour?

Featured Replies

There is another thread at the moment regarding the colour of the dashboard illumination on the Yeti, answer being white on the dashboard with pretty much all other switches having green lights. I can't say it does much for me so it set me thinking about what colour I would like if you were allowed a free choice. The best back light colour I have seen is the VW one which still impresses me each time I get a lift in one.

What makes of car have other people had that have a great backlight and what colour is it ? (this is one for fun, I appreciate that Skoda have their colours and that is the end of it)

What VW colour do you mean? They used to have blue dials but have now moved on and the latest Golf is not blue anymore but white and red! Apparently the blue was not so easy to read though in saying that I never had a problem with them in my Golf V5.

My Audi is red for the buttons and white for the dials which is fine. I detest the orange you get in BMWs and Citroëns. So the Skoda green I'm really looking forward to actually.

I did rather like the Seat red colour, that was actually pretty effective.

I preferred the green of my Octavia to the orange of my BMW's. more relaxing on the eyes for me.

I meant the VW blue. I think that is so relaxing on the eyes. I am amazed that they have changed it.

I find the Skoda green a little jarring. I did have a SEAT and I agree that the red worked well.
